John Capellaro
John Capellaro started his career in the apparel industry in New York, where he worked as a senior executive in manufacturing, import, and design for several luxury apparel companies. He then formed his own Marketing Consulting firm working primarily with European based companies looking to enter the North American marketplace.
Eager to explore larger subjects, Capellaro left the business world in 1992 to return to school and earned a Master's Degree in Divinity from The School of Theology at the University of the South in Sewanee, Tennesse; he was then ordained an Episcopal priest and served several historic parishes in the years that followed. During those years he published a collection of sermons together with his friend and colleague, The Venerable Patricia Davis, entitled, "Searching the Heart of God," was invited to teach a summer course at Princeton Theological Seminary on "Church Growth and Conflict," and participated with several interfaith groups - always looking for that common ground of sacred experience that ties us together, and how we can put ourselves in the shows of THE OTHER through story.
Capellaro left the service of the Church in 2006 and earns his livelihood as a Realtor in Manhattan Beach, California. He continues to explore the dynamics of personal transformation and social change through story. John is at work on a new book examining the history of Doctrine in Christianity and how that doctrinal development has changed Christianity over the centuries.
John and his wife, Bernadette, live in Los Angeles near their two adult sons who both work in the arts.
